Am I a Good Candidate for miraDry?
You’re a good candidate for miraDry if you suffer from excessive sweating (also known as hyperhidrosis). Your sweating should be such a problem that you change your shirt several times a day and have found no relief from over-the-counter or even prescription deodorants. While multiple sites on the body may be an issue, miraDry is best performed on sweat glands within the armpit region.
How Long Does a Typical Treatment Take?
The treatment takes about an hour to perform, making it an excellent procedure for patients who are looking for a quick yet highly effective way to get rid of excessive sweating problems. The treatment is performed after the area is locally anesthetized. For most patients, there is also the side benefit of long-lasting reduction of hair and odor glands in the area that was treated.
